Welcome to DirectRent.com.ng (“DirectRent”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

1. About DirectRent

DirectRent is an online real estate listing and access platform that connects property seekers (tenants and buyers) directly with landlords and property sellers. We are not property owners, agents, or brokers unless explicitly stated.

2. User Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use this platform.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3. Property Listings

• Landlords and sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings.
• DirectRent does not guarantee the authenticity of any property.
• Users are strongly advised to inspect properties physically before making payments.
• Fraudulent listings will result in immediate suspension and possible legal action.

4. Unlock Fees

• Tenants and buyers are required to pay an unlock fee to access landlord or seller contact details.
• Unlock payments are processed securely through approved payment gateways.
• Unlock fees are non-refundable except in cases of verified technical error or duplicate payment.

5. Posting Fees (For Sellers)

• DirectRent may charge posting fees for property listings.
• Posting fees are non-refundable once the listing is approved and published.
• We reserve the right to reject or remove any listing that violates our policies.

6. Withdrawals (For Landlords / Sellers)

• All withdrawal requests are subject to review and verification.
• Approved withdrawals will be processed within 7 to 14 working days.
• Working days exclude weekends and public holidays in Nigeria.
• DirectRent reserves the right to delay withdrawals in cases of suspected fraud, disputes, or compliance investigations.

7. Refund Policy

• Payments made for unlock services are generally non-refundable.
• Refunds may be considered only in cases of system error, duplicate payment, or confirmed fraudulent listing.
• Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of payment.

8. User Conduct

• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent property information.
• Use the platform for illegal activities.
• Harass, threaten, or defraud other users.
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or manipulate the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

DirectRent shall not be liable for:

• Property disputes between users.
• Financial loss resulting from property transactions.
• Fraudulent actions committed by third-party users.
• Any indirect or consequential damages.

10. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, logos, and technology belong to DirectRent and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

11. Data Protection (NDPR Compliance)

DirectRent complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). User data will be processed lawfully and will not be sold to third parties without consent.

12. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from the use of DirectRent shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall first be resolved amicably. Where resolution fails, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

14. Amendments

DirectRent reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
